Here is my first attempt at modeling an outfit from my closet. First off I must say this is way harder than it looks... the modeling that is. I’m generally not fond of having my picture taken so I guess I’m a little rusty in the posing department, but Clayton did manage to get a few good shots of me. So here it is.
This outfit is made up of this adorable dress I found a while back at the thrift store. It’s part French maid, part Victorian gothic, with a touch or Harashuku girl. At any rate it’s adorable, and I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet, so I thought it was perfect for the task at hand. The leather trench is a treasure I will never part with. Also found at the thrift store. As much as I love this coat, I have never worn it and I thought it was a cheeky mix with the dress. The shoes are my favourite not only for their height but the style goes with almost everything in my closet. And yes I love black and brown combination...
On to the mix. 8trax changed their format, and I haven’t had time to make a mix, so today I am sharing someone else’s mix that I really enjoyed, and thought it went well with the outfit. Here it is. Enjoy!

Don't worry. You're adorable. I love the coat.
I used to be the same way with photoshoots. I always felt terribly awkward and didn't know where to put my hands.
So, I was kind of lame and Youtubed "How to model" videos. Some of the tips really helped me figure out how to move, and then I just practiced in front of my mirror until I figured out what angles looked best.
Maybe it's dorky, but the last few shoots I felt a lot more comfortable, and the pictures definitely looked a lot better than they used to!
Hope that helps! Your blog is amazing--your products are all to die for.
