Thrifted Lately
My mom told me a funny story recently... She said that one of my favoutie activities to do when I was about three was to "carry purses". I couldn't help but laugh when I heard this because really not much has changed. There is something about bags that gets me EVERY. TIME. And don't get me started on how much I love leather... I think it's in my Italian DNA.
So despite having downsized my collection of bags recently, I just couldn't resist a good find on my last visit to the thrift shop. I picked up two very fun and very soft leather purses and I'm super stoked to wear both. So let the outfit planning begin!
Not only did I find these great bags, but I picked up a few other things that, let's face it, I don't need but couldn't help but imagining a great outfit I could use these pieces with. Hope these finds excite you as much as they did me!
p.s. I'm on vine. Check me out @thevintageramble

Thrifty Decorating
You may know by now that I periodically write for a local magazine called Oshawhat, where I've been sharing my thrifty tips and my favourite thrift joints in and around where I live. I recently wrote about a decorating project I completed packed with DIY's and thrift store finds. See more pictures and read all about the process here.

Thrifted Lately...
Just a few things I've picked up lately. I'm really loving simple heels with jeans and collared shirts these days. These new (to me) fringed oxford heels will be a perfect accompaniment to jeans, white shirt and a cardigan. The rings and the bag are great bohemian inspired pieces that I can't wait to style. Have you found any treasures lately? What's your favourite look this fall?

Stuff
We are in the midst of some home improvement and our house is currently in shambles. I don't know about you, but colossal mess in the house makes me want to climb the walls. So last night as I stared at the magnitude of stuff laying around I found myself in this corner of our dining room staring at different stuff... All these curious objects we've found over time that have come together as a beautiful collection on a portable pump organ. So rarely do I just walk around our house and admire what we have. It was a nice moment where the "organized clutter" diverted my attention from the unwanted "messy clutter" of our reno. My anxieties were tamed and I was reminded of the reason why I love to decorate; to create beauty and comfort in our home.

For Your Reading Enjoyment
Once in a while I try to update my blog reading list. It's seems like it's been so long now that I've been reading blogs and there are always so many new and exciting authors to discover. As much as I love a good magazine, I find myself less interested in reading them since blogs seem to offer such interesting and new content. Does anyone else feel this way? My main interests are vintage fashion (obviously), art, photography, and DIY. So today I'd like to share with you some of my new favourite reads. Hopefully you'll check them out and show some of these talented bloggers/artists some love!
First up is Love, Design & Sunshine, a very pretty design blog by Caytlyn. Follow her 52 weeks project, a fun and inspiring scrap booking adventure!

Next, is 6 Petals, one of my favourite places to go for inspiration in fashion and interior design. Christina's vintage finds will soon be for sale in her new Etsy shop.
Lastly, People Webs. Lindsi is a talented sewer, knitter and crocheter who shares her wares on her blog. She also has an adorable pug and an Etsy shop where you can purchase her lovely creations.
